FAQ: can I appeal a denial of a I-601 waiver from Cuidad Juarez?

Answer; Yesterday was Labor Day here in the USA. I was hiking with my family when my I-phone rang at the top of the mountain. I noticed that the call was from Mexico. A very happy client was calling to tell me that his wife had received an approval on her appeal. Previously her self prepared waiver application had been denied at the consulate in Cuidad Juarez, Mexico. Her husband came to hire me for her appeal. It took my office less than two weeks to prepare and submit the appeal. That was at the beginning of July, 2009. So, in less than two months her appeal was granted. She may now call the consulate to go receive her permanent residency based on marriage to a U.S. citizen.
